I spotted this Facetronic Chimpanzee over at TheGadgetStore.com earlier whilst on my lunch at work, and, at first, I was kind of freaked out by it (to be honest, I still am!) but can't help feel it deserves a spot on Mad for Stuff.
The Facetronic Chimpanzee is actually from the same creators of the Robosapien, so if you liked the Robosapien, Roboraptor, or Robopet then your going to love this Facetronic Chimpanzee!
No, its not a real (Thought i'd get that out the way before the RSPCA came knocking); it's actually a very life like Chimpanzee which features advanced radio controlled animatronics used in many blockbuster movies such as Planet of the Apes or Joe Mighty. Initially I thought "This must cost an arm and a leg!", but at second glance, this very cool Facetronic Chimpanzee costs under one hundred pounds!
The amazing Facetronic Alive Chimp, like other products from the Robo series, has a list of interactive features that will provide endless fun for anyone who dares play with him! The Facetronic Chimpanzee is an animatronic monkeys head that promises to be more lifelike than the Roboraptor and Robosapien, and is certainly a little scarier! This Animatronic Monkeys Head is so real, it's unreal! The Facetronic Chimpanzee left a strong impression on our office when he arrived.
The cheeky Facetronic "Alive" Chimpanzee is highly communicative, fully interactive and has four distinct moods including "curious", "angry", "happy" and "fearful" and utilises touch sensors on various points of his head ears and chin.
