Ant Works Ant Farm
NASA developed ant farm
At first I thought I was the only one who would get excited about this ultra slick Ant Works Ant farm at IWOOT.com... but after showing a few friends, they were hooked on it too!
Based on a NASA experiment to study the ants behaviour in zero gravity, the Ant Works Ant Farm is an incredibly stylish self contained environment for ants. This amazing jelly like ant habitat is perfect to support ant life, not just in space, but here on earth; on your desk, next to your alarm clock or even kitchen table.
The transparent Ant Works Ant farm housing is filled with a special (and ultra cool blue) nutrient rich gel which, not only provides your new ant colony with all the nutrients it needs for a long happy life, but also relieves you of the trouble of having to feed them...
The Ant Works Ant Farm instructions are pretty simple really, all you have to do is prod four little holes into the gel to give your ant family a head start; then head out and find yourself some ants!
If you can't find yourself some ants (for whatever reason! god knows why...) then you can order some specially bred UK ants for about £4 inc Postage and Ant friendly packaging.
After a few days your new ant family will start to tunnel down through the gel. Each ant tunnel will be clearly visible thanks to the transparent container.
